According to the performances in 2018 year, Aegean Region Chamber of Industry (EBSO) has revealed top 100 industrial companies in the region. Torbalı took part in the list with 12 companies. Reviewing the success, Torbalı Chamber of Commerce President Olgun said “Torbalı’s success should be rewarded with special incentives.”
Aegea’s top 100 industrial organizations were revealed in a meeting held at EBSO. According to the ratings based by production and sales, top organization chosen was Tüpraş, second was Petkim Petrokimya, third was İzmir Demir Çelik and fourth was Philip Morris. According to the report, 79.7 percent of the 100 companies in terms of sales from production are concentrated in the chemical, food, iron and steel metal casting industry. While Philip Morris found himself in the 4th place, Torbalı met 12 percent of İzmir’s success alone.

The results of the top 100 organizations have been announced by the Aegean Region Chamber of Industry yesterday. The list was determined as a result of the evaluation of the performances performed by the companies in 2018. Torbalı took part in the list with 12 companies. Torbalı is increasing its contribution to the country economy every year. İzmir took 5th place in Turkey based on provincial tax rankings. Torbalı which meets 52 percent of tax paid by İzmir and left behind 62 provinces based on export values, is on top 100 Aegean companies list with it’s 12 companies. Home to worldwide known brands and companies, Torbalı Chamber of Commerce President Olgun has reviewed the district’s success. Abdulvahap Olgun, President of Torbalı Chamber of Commerce, stated that this pleasing news from the field of production and economy is pleasing. Olgun said “Companies in our district are increasing their production and sales every year. Because of this our company numbers and their ranks are also increasing in this list.
