Aegean Region Chamber of Industry (ARCI), has announced 100 major industrial companies in the region according to their performances in 2019. Torbalı is included in the list with 9 companies. Torbalı, who has been on the list with 13 to 15 companies for the last 10 years, is feeling the sadness of being with 9 companies for the first time. TÜPRAŞ, the champion of the last year, maintained its leadership in the list. Petkim Petrochemical became second and Philsa Philip Morris who continues its increase became third. With this results, Torbalı met 9% of İzmir’s success alone. The results of the top 100 major industrial companies of Aegea, that Aegean Region Chamber of Industry has continued for 38 years were announced yesterday. As a result of evaluating the performances of the companies in 2019, the list was determined. Torbalı, who has been on the list with 13 or 15 companies for the last 10 years, had only 9 companies for the first time.

INVESTMENT INCENTIVES SHOULD BE INCREASED

Firms in our district were increasing both their production and sales every year. But this year we experienced a decline. In order to make the success of our district permanent, special investment incentives should be brought to our district. Investment incentives in general should also be increased in the country. As Torbalı, our companies were affected during the pandemic period, especially in the second quarter of this year. In this period, only our exporters survived and continue to survive with the least damage due to the advantage of exchange rates.
