TCC President Olgun Evaluated 2020
Torbalı Chamber of Commerce (TCC) President Abdulvahap Olgun, made evaluations about the works done in the last year in the first council meeting of 2021, stating that the member satisfaction has increased to 96%.
TCC President Abdulvahap Olgun gave information at the council meeting while making an evaluation of last year. Stating that they are struggling with the worldwide pandemic that started in the early 2020 President Olgun said “We never stopped working thanks to the crisis desk we created with the onset of the pandemic. We took responsibility as Torbalı Chamber of Commerce. We used our chamber’s possibilities to benefit our members and our citizens. We made provision aids 2000 families and 65+ year olds in need by participating to the Torbalı District Governorship’s Fidelity Support Group. In 2020 we’ve suffered greatly from the earthquakes that happened in Elazığ and our İzmir. With our members’ aids we’ve sent out aid trucks to help the earthquake victims. We became the voice of our craftsmen and asked for rental support from our government.”
WE STOOD BY OUR MEMBERS
Stating that TCC taking initiative for its members during the pandemic Olgun said “In this perios we made works for our members to benefit from the incentitives and supports that our government has announced. Short-term payment support, Delay of the capacity reports’ validation time, delay of the tax payments, credits from banks, we’ve announced every support subjects immediately to our members. To prevent the supply chain from stopping, we’ve delivered and still delivering work permits for the factories during curfew times with Torbalı District Governor Mr. Ercan Öter’s approval.”
MEMBER SATISFACTION HAS INCREASED
Stating that the member satisfaction rate has increased to 96% Olgun said “We value member satisfaction very much and it is very pleasing to see our member satisfaction rate has increased up to 96% as result of the surveys we’ve made at the start of this year. We’ve tried to solve our members’ problems within the scope of Covid-19 precautions. Due to the precautions we took in order to make a safe environment for our members and staff, our chamber has been entitled to receive Safe Service Certificate from Turkish Standards Institution. We started to issue some documents on the internet both in our chamber department and in our trade registry department. We have not interrupted our trainings and organized trainings and seminars online. Despite the pandemic our members are increased to 3500. We’ve had a budget success despite delaying the subscription fees. We will keep working nonstop no matter what. We are hopeful with the year 2021 with the start of vaccine programs.”
